Maintenance Guide for Door and Window Bearings and Pulleys

1、 Key points for bearing maintenance

Regular cleaning

Clean the surface dust and debris with a brush or compressed air (pressure ≤ 0.2MPa). For stubborn oil stains, soak them in neutral cleaning agent for 10-15 minutes before brushing, and finally rinse with anhydrous ethanol.

Sealed bearings: Do not disassemble, only wipe the surface; Open type bearings: After cleaning, they need to be dried with clean compressed air to avoid residual moisture.

Status detection and lubrication

Check whether the outer ring of the rotating bearing is smooth, whether there is any jamming or abnormal noise; Measure the clearance, and if it exceeds the standard value by 1.5 times, it can be compensated by adjusting the preload force.

Add 1-2 drops of specialized lubricating oil to ordinary bearings every six months; Sealed bearings do not require additional lubrication, but the surrounding area needs to be kept clean.

Sealing protection

Aging seals need to be replaced in a timely manner, and dust seals or labyrinth seals can be added; It is recommended to install protective covers on open bearings to prevent dust and moisture from entering.

2、 Pulley maintenance method

Cleaning and lubrication

Track cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the accumulated dust every week, wipe the inside of the track with a damp cloth every month, clear the drainage holes to avoid water accumulation and rust.

Lubrication cycle: Apply lubricating oil to ordinary rubber wheels or bearing pulleys every six months; High end needle roller bearing pulleys (such as brand seal design) do not require lubrication, only cleaning of track debris is needed.

Fault diagnosis and handling

If there is a jerk, tilt, or creaking sound when pushing, first check if there are any foreign objects on the track, and then touch the bottom of the pulley to see if it is corroded or rough.

When there are cracks in the wheel body, loose bearings, or rust on the axis, they should be replaced in a timely manner. When replacing, the original size should be matched to ensure the load-bearing capacity.

3、 Daily maintenance suggestions

Establish a maintenance ledger: record the cleaning and lubrication time and bearing model. For short-term shutdowns (1-3 months), rotate the bearings 1-2 times per month. For long-term shutdowns, apply anti rust oil and cover with protective sleeves.

Material adaptation care: Wipe the metal frame with a dry cloth to avoid residual moisture; Wooden components can be regularly coated with maintenance oil to prevent drying and cracking.
